Introducing Splashies: Lisa

Hi everyone!

This is it, the new category on my blog, I already announced in my last post, the 'project' I talked about.

It's called "Splashies". That's meant like the little "Splashies" of "A FashionSplash". I take pictures of my friends if I like an outfit of theirs and then show it to you, guys. I was thinking about doing street style some time already, but now I finally decided this to be better. It's simply more personal and more fun, too. And I've got a lot of fashionable friends, so you can be curious about what's to come!

The idea came to my mind when my friend Lisa and I sewed a skirt for her together. It came out pretty great, so of course I wanted to have it on my blog. So naturally, she's the one to open up my "Splashies"-category! Now, some months after we finished the skirt we finally managed to shoot together. The location, a lake near our home, was totally amazing and perfectly to combine with a lazy and relaxing afternoon in the sun.

Lisa and I share our passion for fashion and always have a lot of fun together!

I guess we will do many more shoots together, so you will get to see more of us ;)

Bikiniworld - best place to go right now

 Hi my lovelies!

From the pictures you already know what my topic today is, right?

It's all about bikinis!

I don't know how it is with you, but for me my bikini-lusting phase starts around march each year. It's shortly after I grew weary of winter. You know, I don't like winter at all, at least not the rainy ones here in Germany, but in the beginning it's quite ok, but then after some months of rain and maybe a little snow and the cold, I just can't stand it anymore. That's usually after X-mas in January. And than after I endured the weather 2 more months it really gets hard for me. My body's lusting after summer and the sun, with what also the need for a new bikini comes along. 

That's when my hunting for the perfect one starts. And finding "the one" is not easy at all, that's probably the same for all of us girls... It needs to be pretty, of course, matching your skin color, has to have the right shape, style and lift you are looking for and then also fit perfectly. It's a lot to fulfill and many girls will be searching for a long time until -having run through about 1000 stores- finding it.

This story I told you above happened for me this year as it does any year. There's been just one difference. The story stopped at some point, when I was already feeling the need of a new bikini but haven't already been looking for one too much. I've just been looking once when it was a little too early for bikinis so the store hadn't already got the whole assortment. I got a bit sad already, thinking I wouldn't find one before summer stars....haha

But anyways, the story stopped, because I got a lovely email by Sara from AFS-International (see, they have the same letters as my blog has!!), offering me a collaboration with bikiniworld.it. I really liked the great variety of their products: from a lot of bikinis, to summer dresses and beach bags etc...-simply all you need for a perfect summer holiday!

At first, I have to admit, I was a bit skeptic about the fitting of my chosen bikini, because I know my struggles in the stores to find one that fits like it's supposed to all too well.

Then finally last week when my lovely parcel arrived, I was truly impressed: The bikini fit perfectly. Can't tell how happy I was about it, I mean, how stupid would it have been if I couldn't use it in the end?!

Bikiniworld.it did convince me that buying bikinis or clothes that are usually difficult to find with the right size online is not that hard, actually kinda great as I now found out ;) Really I'm so happy about my new bikini, it's very beautiful. I love the black and white design with bead applications on the top and slip. Also the quality is very good: I didn't find any messed up stitchings or so. All their bikinis are very well designed with removable cups and adjustable or removable shoulder straps... The material is very soft to your skin, doesn't get out of place and really feels like a second skin, what I think is all-important to be fulfilled by a bikini that wants to be perfect! So the wearing comfort fulfills all the functions, too.

Really liked the aspect of their service: Their web page looks good and is well-arranged. Today, my last vacation before the summer vacation started, so a friend and me took the time to go the lake for some hours after school. It was my first time at the lake this year and it was wonderful. I just love it. We really had fun taking all the pictures and enjoying the warm weather and the sun

I got a new project coming up and took pictures for it with her, too. Soon you will get to know what it is about and also get to know her ;)

Jewelry Collection

Hi everyone!

I really became a jewelry addict over the last few years. Simply love all the lovely earrings, bracelets or necklaces shining on me :D I guess you can understand that just too well. There's really something true in the song of Marylin: Diamonds are a girl's best friend! I mean I already got not too less jewelry, only talking bout the real ones, but still want more. Haha. Guess that never ends.

Today, I though I'd show you a bit of my collection. After it grew bigger and bigger it had to be moved to a even bigger storage space and I chose a drawer.

What do you think of jewelry.. want it to be real or fake or both? I'm for both. You gotta have a great collection of real jewelry that's timeless so it'll be with you your whole life and than you can add some fake jewelry here and there to mix up your collection a bit with color, styles etc. For example the actual statement necklaces!

And then there's also that question: Gold or Silver? I'd again say both. Simply cause I cannot choose which suits me better and I think both metals do look great, especially on certain color so I wouldn't miss one of them. What do you wear?

Beauty Newcomer: Christian Louboutin

Hi my lovely readers!

My sister recently got very much addicted to beauty videos of all the sweet beauty gurus on youtube, watching them nearly every minute she's at home. She also wrote a blog post about it on her blog called "Atelier Wunderlampe". Of course I do love make up, too, but I'm not that much obsessed with it like she is :) With her watching the vids and talking to me about them overzealous, I'm pretty good informed bout what's going on in the beauty world. Overhearing all the news sounding out of her room I already got to know all the Megans, Bethanys and Kaileys. Haha. But I really have to say that she's a true genius in hair and make up having learnt a lot by watching those vids. She regularly styles me for my nights out and I love how stunning I always look ;) 

So, I guess some of you love watching those channels too, right? I mean it's pretty great for learning some new tips and tricks. 

And I do have a look sometimes too, but all in all I'm too busy with fashion, my blog, friends and school. So, I guess there's always one (or maybe two) true and original passion you have, in my case it's fashion. And besides that you are interested in other stuff, like beauty or drawing and art with me. But you will always pay most attention to your main passion. Is it the same with you, guys?

So today, I got totally amazing news for y'all. News that join beauty and fashion! (So, all the  ones feeling the same as I will soon be able to let out both their passions-fashion & beauty- at once)

Knowing Christian Louboutin as one of the most brilliant shoe and accessory designer, he will soon twist us around his little finger with a new beauty line! Cooperating with Batallure Beauty from New York the first products of his new line called Christian Louboutin Beauté are going to be available from 2013.

I'm very curious how he will transport his style from fashion into beauty products...!

What do you mean, are we gonna see a Christian-Louboutin-like make up or will he invent himself totally new in beauty?

All I know is that it's going to be fantastic ;)

Mirapodo

Hi everyone!

I guess a lot of you reading my blog in Germany know mirapodo.de, right?

Pressday Agentur Stadtgespräch: Awaking!, Nussbag etc.

Hi everyone!

Yesterday I've been to the "Agentur Stadtgespräch" again for their pressday.

Was very nice seeing Anja again and meeting Conny, another blogger from fashionvictress.com!

Beside the new collections for F/W 2012 of the labels ( I already introduced you to after the first pressday (read the post here) they presented us two new labels.

First there is "Awaking!". The jewelry label from Colombia manufactures handmade cotton wool bracelets and necklaces inspired by the rosary. In Colombia these are talismans and a expression of religion, of course. They're available in any color of the rainbow and also with Swarovski pendants.

A lot of celebs like Shakira, Kanye West, Rafael Nadal and many more are already loving these happy accessories. And I think the best of them is that buying and wearing them helps humanitarian organizations in Colombia and Peru. The Manufacturers tying the jewelry get payed well and can build a better live with our help. 

European Championship special sets

Loving the charity part of the bracelets and having totally rediscovered preppy colors lately (going to do a post on that soon) I had to get me some, too. I chose orange, yellow and pink, considering them as perfect summer colors.

All in all I think these funny bracelets and necklaces add a wonderful cheeky something to your outfit and are the perfect summer accessories!

The the second newcomer was Nussbag, a brand from Austria. The founder and originally carpenter needed a present for his girlfriend and he created a purse made out of wood. That way the idea to his business came to his mind and now there are already more than 5 bag styles, belts and Iphone cases (for Iphone 4 & 4S available. All made out of wood like nut, maple or ash and macassar. 

I would've never had the idea of making a purse out of wood but I really like it. The bags look so elegant and are, probably what you wouldn't think, very light. The wood is very thin but still firm and combined with leather etc it truly looks amazing. Referring to my column about individuality I can cite these bags as a perfect example for being not the same like all the others!

In my goodie bag I found, apart from a lookbook and a really yummy tea from "Rebekka Ruétz" and some flyers etc., this wonderful Iphone case (it was the wood I liked best on the cases). It's looking so amazing, too sad I can't use it on my Iphone 3gs... still considering what to do.
